Now, when you connected your Salesforce account with your lemlist account, you are ready to import your leads from Salesforce to lemlist.

1
Make sure your leads are prepared in Salesforce. If needed, create a new view by:
  • Logging into Salesforce and going to Leads, Contacts, or Reports.
  • Click Create New View.
  • Set up your filters, name the view, and save.
2
In lemlist, go to your campaign’s Leads section.
3
Choose the option to import from CRM.
4
Select Salesforce, then continue.
5
Choose the Salesforce view from which to import leads. Views can include Lead, Contact, or Report views.
6
Set how you want to handle duplicate entries, then click Confirm.
7
Once the import is complete, the Salesforce icon will confirm data sync in the CRM column.

Note:

  • It’s not possible to combine two import methods when the source of leads is a CRM.
  • Enrichment is not possible if the source of the lead is CRM.

Using triggers in Salesforce and lemlist

1
In your campaign’s settings, go to CRM Integration.
2
Set specific triggers to send activities from lemlist to Salesforce, like when a lead opens an email or clicks a link.
3
You can also add triggers to make changes in Salesforce based on actions in lemlist, like marking a lead as contacted.

Importing leads from lemlist to Salesforce

1
In lemlist, import your leads using any available method.
2
Go to your campaign settings, then click CRM Integration.
3
Enable Create leads in Salesforce when imported in lemlist.
4
Configure how lemlist should sync data to Salesforce, like creating leads with a specific status when they’re added to lemlist.

For example, you can select an option to Create Lead with “Open-Non Contacted” status when Imported in lemlist.

The status (section 2) depends on the setup of your Salesforce flow.

Key points to know

1
All activities from the lead are stored immediately as Events inside the corresponding lead in your Salesforce
2
Salesforce Essentials edition doesn’t support API access, so you won’t be able to integrate it with lemlist.
3
Filters may produce different lead sets depending on the user. For instance, a filter created with “My leads” will show personalized results based on each user’s data.
4
Pay attention to sharing settings when sharing lead views. If these settings aren’t properly configured, others won’t be able to access those views in lemlist.
5
When importing leads from a Salesforce Report view into lemlist, make sure to include the following default fields:
  • Lead ID or Contact ID
  • Email (use the default email field, not a custom one)

How to import Salesforce fields into lemlist

Our Salesforce integration allows you to import all fields (as variables) from your Salesforce list into lemlist, but they must be visible in your Salesforce list view.

This way, you can access relevant data for your campaigns, ensuring consistency between Salesforce and lemlist. By syncing visible fields, you’ll be able to create personalized outreach based on the latest data from your CRM.

Here’s how to make sure the variables you want to pull are visible:

1
Click the gear icon in Salesforce.
2
Select Select Fields to Display.
3
Choose the field you want to display (e.g., Phone).
4
Click the right arrow to move it to Visible Fields.

Importing LinkedIn URLs from Salesforce to lemlist

One common variable is the LinkedIn URL, especially for Multichannel Outreach campaigns with LinkedIn and Email steps.

To import this variable:

1
Ensure the LinkedIn URL field is visible in your Salesforce list.
2
Follow the same process as described above.

If done correctly, the LinkedIn URL will appear in the LinkedIn column in lemlist.

This is what your Salesforce list should look like.
