Why it worked?

1. All eyes on the image

Tinder is vastly recognizable. It's easy to connect through it and you don't need to use a lot of words to explain the point. There are a million ways to tweak the image, but having your logo with the one from your prospect makes a big difference.

2. Intriguing call-to-action

There's nothing special if you invite someone for a meeting. But, it's a whole other story if you make them excited about the topic you'll discuss. Richard leveraged this tactic in his campaign.

3. A different approach overall

Emailing your LinkedIn connections, depending on how much you post, means they already know you. It sets a much more human tone. Just remember to qualify prospects and validate their emails before you press send.
