LinkedIn limits and manage them to avoid account restrictions
Understanding LinkedIn limits
LinkedIn has activity limits based on an algorithm that looks at:
1
Your account type (Free, Premium, Sales Navigator)
2
Your overall activity history
Important details:
- No fixed limits: LinkedIn adjusts your limits based on how active you are.
- Sudden spikes in activity: A sharp increase in actions can get your account restricted, even for Premium users.
Managing LinkedIn limits
Your account has pre-set limits for daily activity. It’s up to you to manage them carefully.
Default daily limits
- Invites: 20 per day
- Messages: 30 per day
- Profile visits: 30 per day
Recommended daily actions
Keep your total actions to around 100 per day:
- 1 profile visit = 1 action
- 1 invite = 1 action
- 1 message = 1 action
How to adjust limits
1
Go to your account settings.
2
Click on “Sending limits” to view and manage your daily LinkedIn actions.
3
Adjust your limits if needed to match your daily goals.
Best practices
- Check your activity regularly.
- Gradually increase limits if necessary to avoid restrictions.
