Why did this outreach campaign work?

We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.

Without further ado, let's get rolling.

Use multichannel outreach

One of the most effective ways to double your results is to leverage multiple channels in your outbound campaign.

This is exactly what Brenton did. He reached out to his target audience by calling them first, and then followed up with a straightforward cold email sequence with more details in it.

If you think about it, the logic was to boost open and reply rates by establishing a connection first and quickly qualifying the prospects during the cold call. By doing so, prospects are more likely to be willing to consume the emails.

Make your emails unique

A great cold email is the one that's tailored to the needs of the prospect and that captures their attention in the first few seconds after opening it. The initial one consists of a personalized video thumbnail tactic. In other words, it's a clickable image containing prospect's logo and their first name on it. The objective being to push them to relevant content and boost the click rate.

The second email also includes a custom image, this time for the purpose of making it a bit more human and unique. Seeing the actual person who's emailing you can go a long way.

All in all, you can tell these are no generic emails and that somebody has put an effort into them. Prospects appreciate that!
