Building brand awareness

How Martin is grabbing prospects' attention and generating qualified leads.

The challenge

Martin Tissier, Co-Founder and CEO at UrbanGaming, wanted to promote Team Building&Serious Games to team building agencies around the world. They launched a cold email campaign to invite people to test their virtual team building.

Here's the campaign... 👇

Why it worked?

1. Use your strengths wisely

The fact of the matter is, some products are more exciting than others. If yours is in this group, we strongly suggest transmitting that excitement into your email copy and intrigue people with smart hooks. Martin played it pretty well here!

2. Show, don't tell them

A picture is worth a thousand words. The same logic applies here. Show people how something looks like instead of telling them. By combining intrigue and excitement, people can imagine for themselves and will be far more likely to reply.

3. Don't make your prospects think

Martin made the process super simple for his prospects. If they like what they see and would like to demo the product, all they got to do is send him a reply. And they did! :)

"I use lemlist to target HR Managers in Paris and Team Building agencies around the world. Really love the interface and the freshness of the tool. Plus, we managed to book a lot of meetings!"

You want to know two big reasons why cold email campaigns fail? Bad email deliverability on one hand, and poor audience targeting on the other.

Send follow-ups

One of the best ways to get more replies is to send smart follow-up emails. How do you make these? Like this.

The goal of a cold email  is to get a reply. To grab people's attention and capture their interest. You can achieve that by making emails about them and building relationships.

Split testing

There's no way to know if one email or subject line works better than the other if you don't test it first. Use our A/B testing feature to make date-driven decisions.

How to make your cold emails perform better?

Our email outreach strategy rests on four pillars - targeting, personalization, follow-ups and A/B testing. Each one is equally important and your reply rate depends on it.
