Subject line: Question about <fancy>{{companyName}}<fancy>

Hello <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>, this is Stacy. You don't know me, but I run an after-school program for middle school students called the Youth Coding League that I think you might find interesting.

<fancy>{{icebreaker}}<fancy>

Our YCL program is offered in schools as an extracurricular activity and teachers are paid to be coaches. It has been successful during COVID safety protocols, the kids love it, and anyone can become a coach without knowing how to code.

Can I send over more information?

Hello <fancy>James<fancy>, this is Stacy. You don't know me, but I run an after-school program for middle school students called the Youth Coding League that I think you might find interesting.

<fancy>Schools in Southern Missouri, St. Louis, and Northeast Kansas are competing in the Youth Coding League. Now that the school year is winding down, I wanted to touch base about getting your school on our roster for next fall.<fancy>

Subject line: Question about <fancy>{{companyName}}<fancy>

Hey <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>, it’s Stacy from the Youth Coding League again!

I know your time is in high demand, but I wanted to make sure my last email about our extracurricular youth coding program didn’t get buried.

A few things to note while you’re thinking about it: We include stipends for teachers and are currently adding them to our Fall 2021 roster.

The impact goes beyond coding, and you can learn more about our program and how we run it within schools here.

Hey <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>,

The past few weeks have been filled with exciting wins for us. We added eight new schools in the past month, and if it’s a good fit on your end, we'd love to add <fancy>{{companyName}}<fancy> to our Fall roster as well.

Would you mind if I send over more information? Please let me know either way.

Why did this outreach campaign work?

Why did this outreach campaign work?

We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.

Without further ado, let's get rolling.

The follow-up power 🔥

If you follow-up with the go-to "hey, just following-up" you're just losing leads.

Follow-ups are a great opportunity to add value in your conversation.

So that's exactly what Cody did here, shared valuable resources & focused on the pains administrators face.

If you want to see how we at lemlist create follow-ups, check out this video:

Know your audience

Don't try to contact millions of people with your cold email.

It just doesn't make sense. You will be way too general in your pitch.

As a result, you won't generate leads and will completely kill your deliverability (so more emails will go to spam, because Email Providers will understand that your emails are irrelevant) 😅

Cody knew that school administrators would care about things like competitions for the students and stipends for teachers, so he made sure to mention this so his message would hit home for the audience.

Do what Cody does - pick a narrow niche, do your homework by finding icebreakers, and narrow your email pitch to this specific audience!
