When you're trying to grow a finance consulting business, cold emails that land in spam folders aren't exactly building the pipeline.
That was Airporting's reality before they joined lemcoach – lemlist's 1:1 training program that pairs clients with expert coaches.
Here's how Eithan Benero, one of our lemcoach partners, helped this Paris-based team transform their outbound motion in just 3 months.

Here's how Eithan Benero, one of our lemcoach partners, helped this Paris-based team transform their outbound motion in just 3 months.
The situation: Great service, scattered outreach
Airporting helps business leaders and finance teams manage treasury, fundraising, and financial operations. Think of them as your outsourced CFO – minus the full-time salary.
Their clients? Companies with 50+ employees that need real financial expertise but don't want (or can't afford) a permanent CFO on payroll.
But here's the thing about financial services: trust matters. And when your cold emails sound like a sales brochure, trust is the first thing out the door.
Before lemcoach, Airporting had:
- ❌ Worked with an agency that set things up, then left
- ❌ Multiple technical issues (wrong domain setup, deliverability problems)
- ❌ Messages that were "too salesy" (their words, not ours)
- ❌ No real outbound strategy – just campaigns that felt... scattered
- ❌ Reply rates below 2%
Mathieu Mola, CEO & founder at Airporting, knew they needed more than just another tutorial. They needed someone who understood outbound and could teach them to fish, not just hand them the catch.
Enter: lemcoach.
The choice: lemlist + a coach who gets it
Airporting didn't just need lemlist: they needed to actually master it.
That's where lemcoach comes in. It's the surest way to get the more out of lemlist in 90 days. Why? Because coaching program where we match lemlist clients with battle-tested outbound experts who still run their own campaigns daily.
For Airporting, that expert was Eithan Benero – an independant outbound specialist who's coached hundreds of companies and sent millions of cold emails himself.
Why lemcoach made sense for them:
✅ Small team, limited time → They couldn't afford months of trial and error

Why lemcoach made sense for them:
✅ Small team, limited time → They couldn't afford months of trial and error
✅ Complex service offering → Finance consulting isn't exactly easy to explain in 50 words
✅ Technical gaps → Their domains weren't set up right, deliverability was a mess
✅ DIY mentality → They wanted to learn, not outsource forever
As Mathieu put it in their final session:
As Mathieu put it in their final session:
"You have the impression that lemlist is easy to use, but actually... the tool is very simple. What you put in it? That's the hard part."

Session 1: The brutal (but necessary) audit
First order of business? Fix the plumbing before worrying about the messaging.
Eithan spotted the problems immediately:
- Prospecting emails were being sent from their main domain (big no-no)
- No proper email warmup in place
- LinkedIn limits weren't configured correctly
- Campaigns were too small to get meaningful data
Eithan's approach: Don't sugarcoat it. Show them exactly what's broken, why it matters, and how to fix it.
Within the first hour, they had a roadmap:
- Set up secondary domains (.fr) for prospecting
- Configure lemwarm to build domain reputation
- Adjust LinkedIn limits (20 invites/day, 30 messages/day)
- Plan 50 emails/day per sender address
Mathieu's reaction? Relief.
"With the first few hours of coaching, honestly... we're good. You helped us understand LinkedIn usage limits, the setup. It was very useful."
Session 2: The messaging wake-up call
Once the technical setup was solid, it was time to face the music: their copy wasn't landing.
Eithan pulled up one of their campaigns. The first message started with:
"Nous accompagnons les dirigeants d'entreprise..." ("We help business leaders...")
His first question? "Would you reply to this message?"
- Thomas (from Airporting): "No."
- Eithan: "Why not?"
- Thomas: "Because it's too... I hate being prospected. But I'd prefer someone who just says 'Hey, want to grab coffee?' rather than..."
Bingo.
The problem wasn't the tool. It was the tone.
Too salesy. Too "brochure-like." Not human enough.

Eithan's messaging philosophy (that changed everything):
Ask yourself: "Why am I reaching out to THIS person, TODAY?"
Not "why our service is great." Not "why they should care about finance consulting."
But: What did I notice about them that makes this message feel personal?
His rules:
Not "why our service is great." Not "why they should care about finance consulting."
But: What did I notice about them that makes this message feel personal?
His rules:
- ❌ Don't start with "We"
- ❌ Don't sound like a pitch deck
- ✅ Show you understand their daily reality
- ✅ Lead with observation or pain point
- ✅ Make it conversational (not corporate)
Example shift:
Before:
"Nous aidons les dirigeants à sécuriser leur trésorerie et maximiser leur rentabilité." ("We help leaders secure their treasury and maximize profitability.")
After (Eithan's coaching):
"Saw you're scaling past 50 employees. Most founders at that stage tell us they're spending 5+ hours a week chasing cash flow instead of closing deals. Sound familiar?"
See the difference? One talks at you. The other talks to you.
Session 3: Launch, iterate, refine
By the third session, Airporting had campaigns in motion.
Mathieu even built a custom dashboard connecting lemlist's API to their CRM (Pipedrive) to track:
Lead → Contacted → Replied → Meeting → Signed
Their conversion rate from cold lead to signed deal? 2%.
Eithan's take? Not bad. Industry benchmark for outbound email is
5-10% reply rate, with around 5% conversion to closed deals
They weren't crushing it yet, but they were on the right track – and more importantly, they knew how to iterate.
What improved by month 3:
✔ Better targeting → They stopped spraying 760-person lists and started building hyper-focused campaigns (50-200 prospects)
✔ Signal-based prospecting → Using financial data from tools like Infonet to identify companies with cash flow issues
✔ Multichannel sequences → Email + LinkedIn + calls (not just one channel)
✔ Conversational copy → Less "we do this," more "you're probably dealing with X"
✔ Proper spacing → No more daily messages. 3-4 days between touches.
Mathieu's verdict:
"We've matured over these months. The results are starting to look like something. But we've grown, that's the main thing."
Session 4: Flying solo (with a safety net)
The goal of lemcoach isn't to keep you dependent. It's to make you autonomous.
By the final session, Airporting had:
- ✅ Mastered lemlist's technical setup
- ✅ Built repeatable campaign frameworks
- ✅ Understood what metrics to track
- ✅ Developed their own copywriting instincts
Eithan's last pieces of advice?
- Add reassurance → Don't just call out pain. Show you've solved it before ("We helped 50 CEOs in December...")
- Test everything → Subject lines, CTAs, message length
- Keep it human → If it doesn't sound like something you'd send to a friend, rewrite it
Mathieu's final feedback:
"The tool is very simple to use. What you put in the tool? That's very difficult. And I think you handled it well – helping us progress over 4-5 sessions. Comparing these campaigns to what we saw on day one? There's a world of difference."
Why lemcoach works (especially for teams like Airporting)
Here's the thing about outbound: You can watch every YouTube tutorial, read every blog post, and still land in spam.
Why? Because every business is different.
What works for a SaaS selling to CMOs won't work for a finance consulting firm targeting CFOs.
That's where lemcoach shines.
You're not getting generic advice. You're getting:
- ✅ 1-on-1 coaching from someone who's solved your exact problem 100 times
- ✅ Real-time campaign reviews (not "here's a template, good luck")
- ✅ Technical audits that catch the mistakes you don't even know you're making
- ✅ A coach who still does outbound (not just talks about it)
For teams like Airporting – small, agile, no time to waste – that's gold.
They went from:
- 🔴 Broken technical setup → ✅ Proper domains, warmup, deliverability
- 🔴 Generic, salesy messaging → ✅ Personalized, conversational copy
- 🔴 No strategy → ✅ Repeatable, data-driven campaigns
- 🔴 Dependency on agencies → ✅ Full autonomy
All in 90 days.
The lemcoach promise: You'll outgrow us
Most programs want you stuck. Subscribed. Dependent.
Not lemcoach.
Our promise? By the end of 3 months, you'll know:
- How to set up campaigns that land in inboxes (not spam)
- How to write messages that get replies (not crickets)
- How to track the metrics that actually matter
- How to iterate without second-guessing every word
And if after 4 sessions you still don't feel ready? We give you 2 extra sessions at no cost until you're confident.
That's not a money-back guarantee. That's a results guarantee.
