Why did this outreach campaign work?
We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.
Without further ado, let's get rolling.
Be sharp
There is no right answer, whether you should go with long text or short emails. Why? Because we saw hundreds of templates that generated lots of leads and that contain 10 lines of text.
But in the majority of cases, shorter emails perform better.
Because people usually don't spend more than 20-30 seconds reading cold emails. Especially when you're reaching out to C-level execs, they just simply don't have time to read long poems.
This is what exactly Olivier did and his strategy with shorter emails performed well.
If you're just starting with cold emailing, try to go with shorter templates (3-5 lines maximum).
Use visuals
You have 2 ways to present info: long text or showing it with visuals. Frankly speaking, a good screen recording or quick gif that shows how product works under 10-15 seconds is much more effective.
This catches attention and shows your value proposition.
If you can show your product in just 1 screenshot or gif, do it like this.
