Why did this outreach campaign work?

We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.

Without further ado, let's get rolling.

Creativity in its finest form.

Quite simply, this is not your typical cold email. In a way, receiving a wedding invitation in your inbox is a breath of fresh air.

A cute storyline in images, a happy couple, a cameo appearance from Noris πŸ•, and overall a fun-to-read email showed that the possibilities to be creative are endless.

Making it easy for people.

Obviously, COVID-19 has changed many of our plans, including Zuzana & Juraj's wedding. While all of us have been receiving "how-to survive" guides and similar emails, no person can resist opening an email with such a unique subject line.

A simple Typeform link and an image pointing to it allow people to easily figure out what to do next. Plus, it streamlines important information promising a great wedding in August.
