Subject:  Fullstack Open position @ Streamroot — Ready to fix Internet with Peer-2-Peer magic?

Hi <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>!

How are you doing? How's the confinement going?

Streamroot decentralizes the Internet to create a better video experience for billions (that's our objective, right now, we have only tens of millions of users around the world 😇, and it's growing thanks to the confinement).

We are looking for a Mid/Junior fullstack engineer.

Streamroot, we are:

🏰 Perfectly located in Paris, 9eme

🍎 🍐 Healthy and friendly startup environment with 30+ Streamrooters

🏠‘ Remote friendly

🚀 Hackathons /offsite, regular event, culture sharing,

👌🏼 No Technical debt, only recent languages: ReactJS, Typescript, Rust, Go, Kubernetes➡️Product "R&D oriented" (Medium blog)

We created a Peer-to-Peer solution that allows viewers to enjoy a better online video experience by downloading content not only from CDNs but also from other viewers who are watching the same content without having an impact on anyone's experience (a quick video intro).

Sounds sexy remarkable interesting? You could make an impact with us 💥! We're looking to strengthen our dashboard team to improve our customer portal's experience. We have a full-stack (80% front) role open right now.

What do you think <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>? Ready for a quick chat?

Good day!

Why did this outreach campaign work?

We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.

Without further ado, let's get rolling.

Dev DNA from top to bottom.

In any email outreach campaign, including recruiting, it's really important to speak the language of your audience. For example, your feature becomes a solution to their pain, explained in simple terms. For recruiters, depending on the position they are pursuing, it's essential to awaken the candidate's interest. The best way to do it is by sending fun and authentic email.

This message wasn’t written by a person who doesn’t know what software engineers do. Amaury used the words that speak directly to his candidates' hearts. That's called character.

First comes "You", then "We".

Before Amaury gets into details about the position and what they need, he focuses on candidates and gives them a quick preview of what they could expect should they decide to join Streamroot. Plus, the straightforward subject line literally qualifies candidates. Whoever opens the email is already interested.

Finally, Amaury provides context that's packed as a hook to intrigue his talent pool. Last but not least is the call to action. Because candidates are qualified, Amaury doesn't make them submit an application, he invites them to hop on a call. Keep in mind that there are 3 really good follow-ups that helped this week's lemlister to increase his reply rate even more.

What can we learn from this campaign?

  • Build relationships with fun and authentic cold email, speaking the same language as your target audience does
  • Create a win-win situation by explaining what's in it for them first
