Apollo.io pricing in 2026: plans, credits and what you really pay

Apollo.io pricing in 2026 breaks down into four tiers: Free ($0), Basic ($49 per seat per month on annual billing), Professional ($79), and Organization ($119). Pay month to month instead, and those numbers jump to $65, $99, and $149. Organization is only available on annual billing, so if you want that tier, the 12-month commitment comes with it.

Here’s the full lineup, checked against Apollo’s pricing page in October 2026:

The seat price is what Apollo advertises. What it actually costs your team depends on how many credits you burn each month, and that’s where most people get surprised.

Apollo.io plans and starting prices

Apollo.io has four plans as of 2026: Free ($0), Basic ($49 per seat per month billed annually), Professional ($79), and Organization ($119). Pay monthly instead and those numbers jump to $65, $99, and $149.

The sticker price is only half the story, though. Apollo runs on a credit system, and how fast you burn credits determines what the platform really costs your team.

Here’s the plan lineup, with prices checked against multiple sources in October 2026:

What each plan includes and its limits

Free plan

The Free plan gives you 900 credits per seat per year (granted monthly), an AI assistant capped at 5 chats, 2 sequences, 250 daily emails, and basic filters. It’s enough to test the database, but not enough to run outbound.

You can only select 25 records at a time, which makes any sort of list-building painfully slow. If you’re evaluating Apollo’s data quality for your ICP, the Free plan works. For anything beyond a quick test, you’ll hit a wall fast.

Basic

Basic runs $49 per seat per month on annual billing and comes with 30,000 credits per year granted upfront, unlimited sequences, CRM integrations, waterfall enrichment, email warmup, and 6 intent topics.

The catch? Daily email sends are capped at 250, and you’re limited to one mailbox per user. That ceiling is fine for a solo founder doing light prospecting. For a rep running real volume across multiple sending addresses, it usually becomes the bottleneck before credits do.

Professional

Professional at $79 per seat per month on annual billing gives you 48,000 credits, unlimited Gmail and Microsoft mailboxes, unlimited daily sends, A/Z testing, automated workflows, and call recordings with AI insights (4,000 minutes).

This is where Apollo unlocks its engagement features. The uncapped sending and multi-mailbox support make it the first plan that can actually handle a structured outbound motion. Most teams evaluating Apollo seriously will land here.

Organization

Organization costs $119 per seat per month on annual billing with a 3-seat minimum and includes 72,000 credits, 12 intent topics, SSO, advanced security, customizable reports, and the option to use your own LLM API key.

The 3-seat minimum sets an entry cost of $4,284 per year on annual billing ($119 per seat per month multiplied by 3 seats over 12 months). If you only have two reps, you’re paying for an empty seat.

How Apollo credits work

Credits are the part of Apollo pricing that trips most teams up. Think of them as a second currency on top of your seat license: every time you reveal contact data, you spend credits from a shared team pool.

Here’s what each action costs:

Action

Credit cost

Reveal a verified email

1 credit

Reveal a phone number

8 credits

Export a contact (CSV, CRM sync)

1 credit

AI research per run

1 credit

US Dialer

1 credit per 30 seconds

  • Source: Saleshandy’s breakdown of Apollo credit costs, cross-referenced against Apollo’s credits documentation.*

Phone numbers cost 8 credits each on Apollo. A full enrichment (email + phone) costs 9 credits per contact. On the Basic plan (900 credits/year), that’s only 100 full enrichments for the entire year.

Two things to watch:

  • Credits don’t roll over. Credits expire monthly with no rollover. If you don’t use them, they’re gone.

  • Extra credits cost $0.20 each. Overages cost $0.20 per credit with a 250-credit minimum purchase ($50 minimum overage charge).

Every seat adds credits to one shared team balance, an email costs 1 credit, a phone number costs 8, and unused credits expire each billing cycle. So a 5-person team on Professional doesn’t get 48,000 credits each. They get 48,000 × 5 = 240,000 in one shared pot, and every rep draws from it.

What Apollo.io actually costs: worked examples

The seat price tells you the floor. Credits tell you the ceiling. Here’s what that looks like for different team profiles.

Solo founder

One Professional seat billed annually: $79/month ($948/year). You get 48,000 credits. If you’re running email-only outbound and revealing around 2,000 contacts a month, you’ll stay within your allocation comfortably.

Estimated annual cost: ~$948

5-rep SDR team

A 5-person team on Professional (the most popular plan) pays $395/month or $4,740/year. That team shares 240,000 credits across the year.

Now suppose each rep reveals 50 phone numbers per month on top of emails. That’s 250 phone reveals × 8 credits = 2,000 credits a month just for phones, plus email reveals. At scale, extra credits for phone numbers alone can add $400/month on top of the base cost for a team of five.

Estimated annual cost: $4,740 base + $1,200–$4,800 in credit overages = $5,940–$9,540

20-rep sales team

Twenty Professional seats billed annually: $1,580/month, or $18,960/year. The credit pool is large (960,000), but 20 reps prospecting actively will burn through it. A rep making 25 calls per day burns through the Professional plan’s monthly mobile credits in four working days.

At this team size, you’re also likely evaluating Organization for intent topics and SSO. There’s also an Advanced Dialer add-on at $119 per team per month billed annually, for international, parallel and power dialing plus local presence.

Estimated annual cost: $28,560+ (Organization base for 20 seats) before credit overages and add-ons

Hidden costs to watch

Apollo’s pricing page is public and fairly transparent. However, a few line items can quietly inflate your bill:

  • Annual lock-in: Annual billing saves roughly 24 percent, and paid plans grant the full year of credits upfront, which front-loads your prospecting capacity. The trade-off is commitment: cancellations take effect at the end of your term, and there are no mid-term refunds.

  • Phone credit burn rate: A rep making 10 calls a day exhausts the Professional plan’s mobile allocation in 10 working days. Every call after that triggers overage at $0.20 per credit, or $1.60 per phone reveal.

  • Add-ons priced separately: The Inbound add-on runs $119 (Essentials) and $639 (Max) per team per month billed annually ($149 and $799 billed monthly). The Advanced Dialer add-on is $119 per team per month billed annually.

  • Seat minimums: Every seat on an account must be on the same plan, so team costs scale per head. On Organization, the 3-seat floor means you can’t test with a single rep first.

Tip: Before committing annually, estimate your monthly phone reveals per rep. If your team relies heavily on calling, multiply reps × daily dials × 8 credits and compare that against the plan’s credit pool. That single calculation usually reveals whether you’ll stay in-budget or face overages.

Is Apollo worth it?

That depends on your outbound motion. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Profile

Verdict

Why

Email-first solo prospector

Worth it

Free or Basic gives you plenty of email credits at low cost

Small team, moderate volume

Worth it with limits

Professional works well if phone reveals stay modest

Call-heavy SDR team

Gets expensive fast

Phone credits at 8x email credits push real costs well above the seat price

Team wanting multichannel (email + LinkedIn + calls + SMS)

Look at alternatives

Apollo’s multichannel is limited compared to dedicated outbound platforms

Apollo is strong as a B2B database with built-in email sequencing. Apollo is strong for tech and mid-market prospecting. Where it gets expensive is when your team goes beyond email-only outbound and starts burning through phone credits or wants channels like LinkedIn automation, WhatsApp, and SMS in the same workflow.

Alternatives that cover more channels for less

Some teams outgrow Apollo’s credit-based model once they add calling, LinkedIn, and other touchpoints. A platform like lemlist combines a 600M+ lead database with waterfall enrichment across 14+ data providers, multichannel sequencing (email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS, WhatsApp), and built-in deliverability tools in one subscription, so there’s no separate credit meter for phone numbers or exports. For a deeper comparison, see the full Apollo alternatives breakdown.

Frequently asked questions

As of October 2026, Apollo’s paid plans are $49 (Basic), $79 (Professional) and $119 (Organization) per seat per month billed annually. Billed monthly, Basic is $65 and Professional is $99. Organization is annual-only.

Yes, Apollo provides a Free plan that costs $0 per month. It includes basic search filters, capped monthly email credits (75 per month, 900 per year), and small allowances for mobile direct dials and contact exports. There’s no time limit, though features are restricted.

You pay for a user license, but you also pay a data usage fee via credits. Think of credits as currency to unlock premium data points. An email reveal costs 1 credit, a phone number costs 8, and exports cost 1 each. Credits are pooled across your team, not allocated per rep.

No. Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle with no rollover. Overages cost $0.20 per credit with a 250-credit minimum purchase ($50 minimum overage charge).

Apollo markets “up to 20% savings” on annual billing. The actual discount varies by tier, and the headline figure only applies to the two higher plans. On Basic, you save about $192 per year per seat by going annual ($49 vs $65 monthly). The trade-off is a 12-month commitment with no mid-term cancellation.
