5 Ways to Find Anyone's Email on LinkedIn in 2026 (Plus 7 Tools Compared)

LinkedIn shows you the job title, the tenure, the mutual connections and the dog in the banner photo. It almost never shows you the email address.

That gap is where most outbound dies. I’ve built lead lists off LinkedIn for years, and the painful part was never finding the right person. It was turning “I found them” into “I can reach them” without burning a week or a domain reputation. With lemlist’s waterfall enrichment, Email Finder and Verifier users get 80%+ valid emails, which is the benchmark I now hold every other method to.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through five ways to pull an email address from a LinkedIn profile, how to pick a tool without getting burned by credit math, what the seven main LinkedIn email finders actually cost in 2026, and where the law stands on all of it.

1. Find emails from LinkedIn using Chrome extensions

Stop digging manually and let your browser do the work.

With the right Chrome extension, you can pull verified contacts while you browse profiles. The lemlist Chrome extension runs on waterfall enrichment, which means it queries multiple data providers in sequence instead of betting your whole list on one database. One provider misses, the next one answers. That’s the difference between a 40% hit rate and an 80% one.

Here’s the workflow:

  1. Download and install the free Chrome extension

  2. Search for leads on LinkedIn

  3. Check “Find email”

  4. Select the campaign to push the leads to

  5. Hit “Push # leads to this campaign”

  6. Leads and their email address appear in lemlist

The free plan covers up to 100 verified, up-to-date email addresses every month. Enough to test the hit rate on your own ICP before you pay anyone anything.

2. Manually check for your prospect’s email on their LinkedIn profile

Plenty of people, especially those working in Growth, Partnerships or Sales, publish their email address directly on their profile because they want to be contacted.

To check:

  1. Go to their profile

  2. Click on “Contact info”

If it’s there, you get two useful things:

  • The email address (and, by extension, the company’s email pattern)

  • A phone number

One caveat worth more than it sounds. A published email address is not consent. Under GDPR, you still need a lawful basis to send a cold email, and for B2B that’s usually legitimate interest. You also need to tell the recipient where you got their data and give them a clean way to opt out. Publishing an address on LinkedIn only means the person is reachable, so treat it as an invitation to be relevant, not an invitation to blast.

3. Send a direct message

Sometimes the fastest way to get an email is to ask for it. A good LinkedIn message opens doors no tool can.

  • Keep it short. Busy people ignore long messages.

  • Personalize. Mention something specific about their work or their profile.

  • Give value. Offer an insight, not a request.

  • Be clear. Ask directly but politely: “What’s the best email to reach you?”

For example:

Hi [First Name], I loved your post on [Topic]. I’d love to share an idea that could help with [Pain Point]. What’s the best email to reach you? Looking forward to connecting.

This method doesn’t scale and I’m not pretending it does. It converts, though, because the prospect hands you the address themselves, which also hands you a reply, an open door and zero bounce risk. For a short list of high-value accounts, it beats any database.

4. Search with Sales Navigator

Sales Navigator is LinkedIn’s premium prospecting product, and it gives you deeper filtering than the standard search.

You can target prospects by industry, company size and role. Some profiles display emails directly in the “Contact Info” section. If not, you can send an InMail to ask. Sales Navigator also connects to CRMs like HubSpot and Salesforce, which makes lead handoff less painful.

  1. Subscribe to Sales Navigator (free trial available)

  2. Use filters to find your ideal prospects

  3. Check their Contact Info for an email

  4. If it’s missing, send a personalized InMail asking for it

  5. Save leads and export the data to your outreach tool

Be clear on what Sales Navigator is and isn’t. It’s a search and filtering layer. It does not hand you email addresses in bulk, which is exactly why the extension method above exists.

5. Guess the email nomenclature

  1. Go to LinkedIn

  2. Get your prospect’s first and last name

  3. List the possible combinations: elon@spacex.com, musk@spacex.com, elonmusk@spacex.com, elon.musk@spacex.com, and so on

  4. You’ve got your prospect’s verified email address

This is a free and fast way to get someone’s address from LinkedIn. The step people skip is the fourth one, and it’s the one that matters. Sending to a guessed address without verifying it is how you collect hard bounces, and hard bounces are what mailbox providers use to decide whether the rest of your campaign belongs in the inbox or the spam folder. Guess all you want. Verify before you send.

Once you have the verified address, the email itself is only the first channel. The accounts that reply are usually the ones where an email lands, a LinkedIn visit follows, and a connection request arrives before the second touch. That’s the point of running multichannel campaigns instead of an email-only sequence: the same list, more surface area, fewer leads lost because one inbox was quiet that week.

How to choose the right LinkedIn email finder

Before the tool list, four things decide whether a tool fits you or drains your budget.

Pricing model: credits vs emails per month. A “credit” means something different at every vendor, and the difference shows up on your invoice. Hunter separates search credits from verification credits, while Lusha uses a unified credit system where one credit reveals a contact’s full information, email and phone where available (Hunter.io vs Lusha Comparison 2026). Skrapp’s API documentation charges one credit per verification including invalid results (Skrapp.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy and 8 Alternatives - WizLeads). Before you buy, work out your cost per usable email, not your cost per credit. You can compare Email Finder & Verifier pricing the same way.

Verification accuracy. A database that returns a lot of addresses and verifies none of them is a bounce generator with a dashboard. Look for published hit rates. Skrapp advertises a 92 percent search success rate (Skrapp.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy and 8 Alternatives - WizLeads), while AeroLeads publishes no hit rate and no bounce-rate benchmark, so you can’t size deliverability risk before you buy credits (AeroLeads Review 2026: Data Coverage, Pricing & SyncGTM Comparison).

Plan-tier traps. Read what the entry plan excludes before you commit. With lemlist, for example, LinkedIn steps (connection requests, messages, profile visits) require Multichannel Expert or Enterprise, while Email Pro covers email sequences only (Lemlist Review: Pricing, Features, Pros & Cons (2026)).

Multichannel fit. Most tools on this list stop the moment they hand you an address. If your outreach uses email plus LinkedIn plus calls, a standalone finder means a second subscription, a CSV export and a sync that breaks on a Friday.

→ Hunter gives you extra context on each address, including sources and confidence scores. Every email comes with clickable source URLs and discovery dates, so you can tell prospects where their contact information was found (7 Best Hunter.io Alternatives for 2026).

→ You can verify deliverability before sending, which cuts bounces.

Pricing

Free plan ✅

Hunter’s paid plans start at $49/month (Starter), then $149 (Growth) and $299 (Scale), with roughly 30% off annual billing and a free tier at 50 credits a month. One credit finds an email, half a credit verifies one. (Hunter.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy, and Limits) (Hunter.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy, and Limits)

✅ Pros

  • Easy to use

  • Transparent sourcing on every address

  • Personalizable email templates

❌ Cons

Lusha

Lusha pulls contact information, including emails and phone numbers, from LinkedIn profiles.

Rating

G2 4.3/5 (1,500+ reviews) (7 Best Hunter.io Alternatives for 2026)

Overview

→ Integrates with LinkedIn directly, so reveals happen inside the profile you’re already looking at.

→ Lusha claims accurate and up-to-date contact data, which raises the odds your outreach lands.

Pricing

Free plan ✅

Lusha’s free tier includes 40 credits per month covering both email and phone reveals (7 Best Hunter.io Alternatives for 2026). Paid pricing isn’t published publicly, so you have to contact sales for a quote. (Lusha vs Hunter.io: Email Finder Comparison 2026 - Origami)

  • Phone numbers alongside emails

  • Regular database updates

❌ Cons

Skrapp.io

Skrapp.io extracts email addresses from LinkedIn profiles and company pages.

Rating

G2 4.5/5 (331 reviews) (Compare Skrapp.io and UpLead)

Overview

→ It verifies addresses as well as finding them, and it works across LinkedIn profiles, Sales Navigator and company websites through a Chrome extension (Skrapp.io Review 2026: Features, Pros & Cons, Pricing - Octopus CRM).

→ Bulk extraction saves time on list building.

Pricing

Free plan ✅

Skrapp’s pricing runs from a free tier with 50 credits and no list exports, to Professional at $39 for 2,000 credits a month, $99 for 5,000, $129 for 10,000, $199 for 25,000, then Enterprise from $349 for 50,000 credits. Annual billing takes 25 percent off. (Skrapp.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy and 8 Alternatives - WizLeads)

One thing changed since the old “you only pay for deliverable emails” pitch. Skrapp’s Fair Credit Policy tooltip claims catch-alls are not charged while its documentation and FAQ say they are, and the documentation is what the billing follows. (Skrapp.io Review 2026: Pricing, Accuracy and 8 Alternatives - WizLeads)

✅ Pros

Final thoughts

You can find 80%+ valid email addresses from LinkedIn without a technical setup, an Ops team or four overlapping subscriptions.

The five methods above all work. Manual checks and direct messages are best for small, high-value lists. Pattern guessing plus verification is free and fine at low volume. Sales Navigator finds the people but won’t hand you the addresses. For anything at scale, a Chrome extension backed by waterfall enrichment is the only one that holds its hit rate as the list grows.

Then do the part the tools on this list can’t do: turn those verified addresses into email, LinkedIn and call steps inside one sequence, instead of exporting another CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Finding a business email address is legal in most jurisdictions. Using it is where the rules kick in.
In the EU and UK, GDPR applies the moment you process someone’s personal data, and a work email counts. For B2B cold outreach, the usual lawful basis is legitimate interest, which requires three things in practice: relevance between your offer and their role, transparency about where you got the data, and a working opt-out in every message. In the US, CAN-SPAM is lighter but still mandates accurate headers, a physical address and an unsubscribe mechanism.
I’m not a lawyer and this isn’t legal advice. Get yours reviewed if you operate at volume.

Yes, and this is the distinction most articles blur. LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies prohibit using bots or other automated methods to access the service, copy profiles or scrape data. That’s a contract between you and LinkedIn, enforced through account restriction or permanent bans rather than through courts.
Separately, US courts in the hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn litigation found that scraping publicly accessible data doesn’t by itself breach the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Those are two different questions. “Not a federal crime” and “allowed under the terms you agreed to” are not the same sentence, and LinkedIn enforces the second one aggressively.
The practical takeaway: pull emails from a provider database rather than from LinkedIn’s servers. That’s exactly how waterfall enrichment works. The LinkedIn profile tells you who to look up, and the lookup happens against licensed data sources.

No. LinkedIn doesn’t sell member email addresses, and Sales Navigator won’t export them for you. It’s a search, filtering and messaging product. Any tool handing you an email next to a LinkedIn profile is matching that profile against a separate contact database, not reading it out of LinkedIn.

Yes. lemlist operates under a published data processing agreement, and the Email Finder and Verifier sources B2B contact data from licensed providers rather than scraping profiles. You still own the lawful basis for your own outreach, so keep your opt-outs clean and your targeting relevant.

Pattern guessing works often enough to be tempting and fails often enough to be dangerous. A single campaign to unverified guesses can push your bounce rate into the range where mailbox providers start filtering everything you send. Run every guess through a verifier before it enters a sequence.
