Hi <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>,
I am an investor at e.ventures, a global venture capital firm with offices in San Francisco, Berlin, São Paulo, Beijing, and Tokyo. We invest at the early and growth stages, you might know some of our investments like <fancy>{{CompCompanies}}<fancy>.
I came across <fancy>{{companyName}}<fancy> and love what you are building. It would be great to connect to learn more about the team and your vision for the company to see how we at e.ventures could potentially be helpful to your continued success story. Below is a snapshot from our internal tracking tool for the <fancy>{{Sector}}<fancy> space - thought you might find it interesting.
Would you be open to hopping on a quick introductory call in the coming days to see if there is a way for us to potentially work together?

A complete job by Nicolas and e.ventures team!
Hey <fancy>{{firstName}}<fancy>,
just wondering whether you had the time to look at my previous mail yet? It would be great to connect over an introductory call in the coming days or weeks.
I'd be happy to elaborate on our investment thesis and how we like to be helpful to businesses outside of just a capital injection.

3rd try but I am not giving up that easily, as I am really interested in what you are building currently - if you can't tell by now!
Would you be able to hop on a call in the next couple of days?

That's awesome! Just tap the button below and send us the details we need. Our content team will be in touch afterward.
We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.
Without further ado, let's get rolling.
Images capture everyone's attention
In this specific case, Nicolas and his team stood out thanks to being creative and going far beyond our classical templates. They took screenshots from the tracking tool that shows the website and main public metrics, like backlinks and traffic growth, then they've sent this image to startup founders.
Even though it might sound like a cliche, but image is worth a 1000 words. It helps you visualize the prospect's path to success and intrigue them so they want to get in touch with you to find out more.
Simple, but golden custom tags
Nicolas and the team did a great job in terms of cold email customization. They made references to companies they've invested in, but that operate in similar niches as their prospects This tactic makes your email relevant and allows your prospects to connect and emphatize with it.
If you want to build successful cold emails that get replies, follow the same schema. Be creative with personalization and custom tags. The more unique the email, the more replies you'll get.
A complete job by Nicolas and e.ventures team!
