Why did this outreach campaign work?

We love a good cold email teardown. In other words, analyzing why a specific cold email template worked and breaking it down to the smallest details so that both a beginner and an advanced player can extract value from it.

Without further ado, let's get rolling.

Identify decision-makers first.

Although Pierre did some heavy researching initially, he still aims to make sure he's speaking to the right person before going for the ask. Although the receiver will know there's a sales ask at the end of the tunnel, the last two sentences put things into perspective in an interesting way, without revealing too much.

And so, if Pierre is talking to the right person, they can figure out what is it about. If not, they know to whom to forward this email too.

Multi-channel approach.

One magical thing that Pierre did was to connect with prospects on LinkedIn first and establish a connection, before jumping into their inbox. By doing so, most of the prospects already knew Pierre and were more open to see what the email is about and, possibly, forward the email if they need to.

On the other hand, Pierre didn't allow to be repetitive or for quality to drop with another email in the sequence. Instead, he decided to give a bit more valuable insight through a video and mention the impact his training is making on his clients. Credibility (results), then proof (video). Results will follow.
